The story

Human, Sustainable, Italian Values.

The story of Oversonic begins in 2020 in Besana in Brianza, in the province of Monza and Brianza. The startup, with a strong Italian identity, was founded by Fabio Puglia and Paolo Denti and stands out for its great creativity and ingenuity in the field of humanoid robotics.

Its technological and production center remains in Besana in Brianza, but over the years, it has expanded by opening two additional locations: a representative office in Milan and an operational one in Rovereto (Trento), within the Mechatronics Hub of Trentino Sviluppo.

With a team of 60 people, Oversonic works every day to introduce products to the market that embody entrepreneurship and the technological know-how of Made in Italy through creativity and ingenuity.

Since its inception in 2020, Oversonic has focused on research and development of cutting-edge technologies to create humanoid robots capable of performing complex tasks and interacting with humans naturally.

From this research and through in-depth studies, RoBee was born—the first cognitive humanoid robot Made in Italy to hit the market.

In 2022, Oversonic adopted the status of a “Benefit Company,” committing to operate responsibly, sustainably, and transparently towards individuals, communities, territories, the environment, entities, associations, and other stakeholders.

The Creation of RoBee.

The inception of the RoBee project dates back to 2020, owing to the extensive experience in the industry of the two founders of Oversonic: President Fabio Puglia and CEO Paolo Denti, who set the ambitious goal of introducing the first cognitive humanoid robot “Made in Italy” to the market. RoBee is designed to operate in factories alongside individuals, particularly in hazardous jobs, and represents a model product for Industry 5.0.

FOUNDER & CEO

Originally from Venice, Paolo Denti graduated in Economic Statistics from Padua, with a Master’s in International Marketing and Sales obtained in Scotland. He served as Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing for Benetton Sportsystem in the USA. Over the years, he held positions as General Manager of Nordica and board member of the Tecnica Group in China, Japan, and the USA. From 2008 to 2018, he was the CEO of Thun SpA. Before meeting the other founder of Oversonic, Fabio Puglia, in 2019, he was a partner and administrator of Soul Value and WUP3.

The fusion of expertise in robotics and managerial experience gave rise to the design and construction of cognitive humanoid robots.

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

With a degree in Physics and Mathematics specializing in Astrophysics from the University of Milan, President Fabio Puglia has diverse experience ranging from robotics to automation.

In 2013, Fabio Puglia led a project in Tel Aviv involving European and Israeli players in Water Management. A year later, in 2014, he signed international technological partnership agreements in Abu Dhabi in the presence of former Prime Minister Gianni Letta. In 2017, he participated in the ICT congress in Pasadena organized by NASA, discussing the innovative heat recovery system into energy developed by ISC, a company he founded in Carate Brianza. In 2020, he met Paolo Denti and together they decided to launch a startup developing advanced robotics systems.
